Should I use the Oil, the Balm, or both?

Start with Velvet Oil for everyday conditioning across the face. Layer Velvet Balm in the evening when skin wants richer, more concentrated care. The Set gives you both.

Can I use them together?

Yes. Apply Velvet Oil first, then layer Velvet Balm over the top.

Is Velvet only for mature skin?

No. Velvet is not defined by age. It is for adult skin seeking a smoother, more refined-looking appearance. Mature skin may particularly appreciate the richer balm, but anyone seeking renewal and conditioning can use Velvet.

What is bakuchiol?

Bakuchiol is a botanical compound derived from the seeds of Psoralea corylifolia. In Velvet, it's the refinement step — working after marula's nourishment and rosehip's renewal to support a smoother, more even-looking texture over time. We use it because it has a clear purpose in the formula — not because it needs to be compared to another ingredient.

Why is the ingredient list so short?

Because everything in it has a job. The Velvet Oil contains marula oil, rosehip CO₂, bakuchiol and two antioxidants that help maintain the stability of the formula. There was nothing else worth adding.

Can I use Velvet with Halo or Ember?

Yes. Velvet is formulated for adult facial care, while Halo and Ember serve different needs. Halo is everyday nourishment for healthy skin. Ember is designed for dry, sensitive and easily irritated skin. Choose according to what your skin needs, rather than your age.

Is Velvet suitable for sensitive or reactive skin?

Velvet is fragrance-free and essential-oil-free, but it is not specifically formulated as a sensitive-skin collection. If your skin is dry, reactive or easily irritated, Ember may be the more appropriate choice. As with any new skincare product, patch test before first use. If you have a diagnosed skin condition or specific concern, speak with your healthcare professional.

Why is Velvet fragrance-free?

We leave out added fragrance and essential oils to keep the formula focused and avoid unnecessary potential irritants. Velvet smells only of the ingredients that are actually in it.

Can I use Velvet every day?

Yes. Velvet Oil is designed for daily facial care, morning or evening. Velvet Balm is designed for richer evening care and can be used daily as part of the two-step ritual.

As we use natural ingredients, slight variation in colour and texture between batches is normal.
