An oath is a promise. Ours began with one I made to my baby.
When my baby was born with eczema, even choosing something as simple as a moisturiser became a decision I didn't take lightly. I wanted to know exactly what I was putting on his skin — what was in it, and why it was there.
I couldn't find what I was looking for. So I started making it myself.
Not because I wanted to create a skincare brand, but because I wanted something I could reach for every day without hesitation.
I began learning about ingredients and formulation, looking for the oils and butters I believed were worth putting on skin. What I didn't want was a formula built around a generic base, with a small amount of something impressive added for the label. I wanted the ingredients that mattered to actually make up the formula.
The more I learned, the more I realised good skincare isn't about making a formula complicated. It's about choosing the right ingredients, giving each a meaningful role, and leaving out what isn't needed.
That promise I made to my baby became the foundation of Oath Co.
